Catwalk controversy comes to an end in Colorado

This catwalk isn’t for models or fashion; it’s a way for two cats to actually walk out of a Colorado home, but it’ll be coming down soon.

This photo on The Associated Press wire — and the dispute between the couple who put up the catwalk and their homeowners group — caught the eye of Desert Sun photo editor Michael Snyder on Friday.

The AP photo caption says:

A Durango area couple is giving up their fight to keep a 13-foot escape route for their cats outside their apartment. Martha Spence and her husband built the catwalk from a window to a nearby tree to allow their two cats to go outside from their second-floor unit whenever they wanted. They agreed to take it down Thursday at the request of the development’s homeowners association.
