RED, WHITE & NEW …. Summer DIY Project

Four Quick & Easy Decorating Tips
to update your bathroom
and take it from time-warp to timeless

Red White & New

Tip #1     A little paint goes a long way

Voted the best bang-for-your-buck project – give your vanity, walls & ceiling new life with a fresh coat of paint. This is your chance to completely transform your bathroom in an afternoon. My choice is to keep the walls a clean and neutral white and then, sticking to a patriotic theme, paint the furniture and millwork a dramatic red. After a good sanding and primer, try either Benjamin Moore’s White Dove, Sherwin Williams Habanero Chile or Red Brick by Behr Paints.

Tip #2     Spruce up your shower

An old and tired looking glass enclosure or shower curtain is your bathroom’s worst enemy. As the new spokesperson for Liberty Hardware for the launch of Delta Shower Doors, I am happy to report that now you can create a high-end look without the hefty price tag. Delta has countless choices for you to be able to customize and it’s easy to install. Simply head to the Home Depot in Palm Springs to select a glass pattern, a frame style and finish and complete the look with modern door hardware.

Tip #3   Modernize hardware & lighting

Carry your color theme with unexpected choices for cabinet hardware and lighting. This is your time to shine but beware of going overboard. Keep these little punches of personality to a minimum. Other bath hardware and fixtures should be selected with the idea of being timeless in standard colors (chrome, brushed nickel, bronze, brass.)

Tip #4   Finish with accessories

To complete your newly updated bathroom, add the last layer of decor with framed mirrors, towels, rugs, and don’t be afraid to have a little fun.

And if RED isn’t your cup of tea, just pick your favorite accent color and go with it.
Take it from a PRO. You can update your bathroom with amazing results in just a weekend when you follow these inexpensive DIY decorating tips.
