A San Francisco salesman will hunt for his dream vacation home in Palm Springs on an episode of “House Hunters” set to air Tuesday.
“House Hunters,” a popular half-hour reality show, follows potential home buyers as they explore three homes, weigh the pros and cons of each, then bid on their selected home.
“As a fan of the TV show, The Golden Girls, Michael has always dreamed of owning a vacation home where he can eventually live in retirement with his best friends who he calls The Golden Boys,” according to HGTV.
“Wanting a change from foggy San Francisco, he’s decided to look for his dream house in sunny Palm Springs, and he’s asked three of The Golden Boys to help him with his search.”
Camera crews stopped at Eddie’s Frozen Yogurt in downtown Palm Springs “a few months ago” while they were filming, the shop wrote on Facebook.
The episode is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. PT on HGTV and again at 1 a.m.
It will be at least the third time this year that an HGTV episode has featured the Coachella Valley.
Los Angeles residents Sean Heslin, 47, and Stephen Koncelik, 37, were featured in a May 7 episode of “House Hunters” as the newlyweds searched for their new home in Palm Springs.
The production actually beins after the homeowner lands a contract on the home and begins the escrow process, Heslin told The Desert Sun at the time. Heslin and Koncelik spent a week in October with a film crew, re-creating their reactions when first walking into rooms of the house.
Judges on “HGTV Star” — formerly known as “Design Star” — crowned a finalist in a July 21 episode after they redesigned rooms at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort.
