Probably not.

Alicia Silverstone was apparently in Palm Springs recently and, according to the poorly sourced Internet rumor mill, stank up Palm Springs while attending a yoga class.

Silverstone, per Yahoo! Philippines (we said “poorly sourced”), was reportedly in town attending a retreat at the We Care Spa and Spiritual Retreat when the 36-year-old allegedly attended a yoga class without wearing deodorant.

“She stank. It was especially noticeable during the yoga classes,” claimed one source cited in the article.

But, according to We Care owner Susan Lombardi, the supposed source is pretty much clueless.

“Alicia Silverstone has been coming to We Care Spa for years. She is a beautiful woman and a strong advocate for holistic health. Alicia’s website, she wrote in a statement to The Desert Sun. “The Kind Life, is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to live a healthier, more meaningful life. We at We Care Spa share her enthusiasm for a more natural lifestyle free of toxic substances.”

“Any reports of a body odor issue are ridiculous and offensive,” she added.

In a 2009 interview, Silverstone described We Care — which is actually closer to Desert Hot Springs — as her “favorite place in the world.”

“I go for 5 days to a week,” she told myskinaffair.com. I go by myself or with a friend. I go when I want to recharge my batteries.”

“Protecting your pits with natural deodorant is an easy way you can go green & healthy,” wrote Silverstone on her blog The Kind Life in 2012.

“Regular antiperspirants prevent your body’s normal sweating function by blocking glands with aluminum molecules so small they can enter the blood stream. Though highly debated, it has been suggested that this might put you more at risk for breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Why be at risk when you could be kind to your body?”
