When patrons walk into any Hard Rock Hotel or restaurant, they are instantly greeted with outfits, guitars, knick knacks, autographs and other memorabilia of some of music’s most influential artists.
The collections are coveted and legendary.
Such will be the case for one of Hard Rock International’s newest hotels, Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs, located in the heart of the desert city.
The hotel released a list of memorabilia chosen to be showcased at the property. More than 75 items will be displayed throughout the hotel including signed guitars, costumes and rare photographs, according to a press release issued by Hard Rock International.
The collection includes a signed Danelectro guitar from Keith Richards, an outfit Lady Gaga wore during her performance at Elton John’s “White Tie and Tiara Ball” in 2010, a tuxedo worn by Justin Timberlake and an electric grand piano acquired by Chris Martin of Coldplay.
But the collection also boasts some keepsakes from celebrities with local ties. These include a wool jacket worn by Frank Sinatra, a leather bike jacket once worn by Elvis including a badge given to him by the Palm Springs Police Department and a custom-tailored suit for Sammy Davis Jr.
Possessions from Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Jimi Hendrix, Adam Levine and Rihanna will also be on display.
The memorabilia chosen for the hotel was selected from Hard Rock International’s “Rock Vault,” a Orlando warehouse housing more than 74,000 prized possessions from music legends.
The hotel, which is anticipated to open this fall, will have 163 rooms, dining and an interactive sculpture made from 500 recycled loud speakers and other electronics.
