Two Bunch Palms, the storied Desert Hot Springs resort currently undergoing a substantial renovation, has named John Trudeau as general manager.
Trudeau comes from the Riviera Palm Springs, where he served as Hotel Manager & Director of Operations.
Two Bunch Palms is set to re-open Oct. 3, unveiling its new Essence Restaurant, which replaces the Casino Restaurant. The restaurant renovation was designed by Gulla Jonsdottir and will present a healthier farm to table menu when it has its soft opening in October.
The Yoga Dome, a 3000 square foot earth-mound passive solar kiva which has never been in use since it was built in 2007, will serve as the centerpiece of the resort’s yoga, tai-chi and movement classes. Guests will also be returning to enjoy a newly refurbished Grotto area, complete with a fitness room and day lounge for local spa customers.
In his new position, Trudeau will report to CEO Kevin Kelly and is tasked with building and leading the newly formed management team into the next phase of growth for the property.
Trudeau grew up in the mid-west and graduated from Purdue University in 1993 with a degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. He has spent more than 18 years in the hospitality industry, according to a Two Bunch Palms press release.
