Riverside County election officials on Thursday will start mailing about 223,000 sample ballots and information pamphlets.
Not every Coachella Valley voter will get one: Only two cities — Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs — and a handful of water and special districts are on the Nov. 5 ballot.
“Material in the pamphlet will help voters make informed choices,” the county registrar’s office said in a news release. “Voters may mark selections on a sample ballot and use it as a guide to help them complete their official ballots at the polls.”
About half of the mailers will start going out to voters Thursday. The rest will hit mailboxes sometime next week.
If you don’t see it — or just can’t wait for it to arrive — copies will be on the Riverside County Registrar of Voters’ website.
Early voting starts Oct. 7.
