Raiders-Chargers game time shifted to Sunday night

The Oakland Raiders will host the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night at the Coliseum —  contrary to what your original NFL schedule may say

Sunday’s NFL game was slated to begin at 1:25 p.m. on CBS. But the Raiders announced Monday afternoon that the game has been pushed back to 8:35 p.m. Sunday night because of the baseball playoffs.

The Oakland Athletics will host the Detroit Tigers at 6:07 p.m. Saturday at the Coliseum in Game 2 of the American League Divisional Series.

The start time of the baseball game makes converting the Coliseum from a baseball configuration to a baseball one by Sunday at 1 p.m. a logistical nightmare. The field conversion time takes as long as 18 hours.

Since there is not enough time, the game was pushed to Sunday night and now will be carried nationally on NFL Network.
