Combining quick kickboxing moves with tribal war dance moves, Bokwa may be the newest group fitness craze.
Unlike other forms of dance fitness, Bokwa moves do not require the counting of steps or choreography. Developed by fitness personality Paul Mavi, users follow basic movements while grooving to popular hits.
Fitness enthusiasts simply use their steps to draw out letters and numbers like L, J, K and 3.
Because of this structure, users are able to simply feel the music, creating their own personalized workout, and not follow an instructor’s personal choreography. It can be as low or as high intensity as someone desires.
This international fitness routine will be taught in Indio on Saturday.
