It happened Monday across the Coachella Valley, and more unseasonably warm temperatures are in the forecast.
Monday topped out at 90 degrees in Palm Springs and 91 in Thermal, according to the National Weather Service. That’s at least 10 degrees above normal November highs, and Thermal was just one degree shy of the record high, set in 1973.
The weather service predicts highs across the valley will range from 88 to 93 degrees Tuesday, and The Desert Sun’s weather page predicts Palm Springs will reach 90 on the dot Tuesday and Wednesday.
The weather service sees a cooldown in the cards that’s set to start Thursday and pick up steam through the weekend, bringing valley highs down into the mid-70s by Monday.
