It all amounted to just a trace of precipitation — a barely measurable amount, less than one-hundredth of an inch — at both the Palm Springs and Thermal airports, according to the National Weather Service.
The rain and hail should be over now that afternoon has arrived, said Mike Watkins, a NWS forecaster in San Diego.
The high Thursday was forecast to be about 70 degrees with a low in the mid- to upper 40s, Watkins said. Temperatures will start to climb in the next couple of days, reaching the mid-70s by Sunday.
