Home for the holidays: According to The Automobile Club of Southern California, more than 7.31 million residents from Southern California will travel more than 50 miles, which is a record number.

By the numbers: Hotel occupancy across the Coachella Valley climbed to 58.2 percent in November, marking a small increase over November 2012, according to a monthly report by Smith Travel Research.

Jazz sounds: Head to The Tropicale tonight to listen to the sounds of The Derrick Lewis Jazz Trio. The show starts at 5:30 p.m.

Tram traffic: About 7,000 fewer attendees have visited the Palm Springs Aerial Tram this year than in 2012. Tram officials cite lack of snow for the decrease.
