Music fans rushed to buy Coachella 2014 tickets when they went on sale Friday morning, quickly grabbing most of the tickets available for the music festival.
Shortly before 1 p.m., Coachella announced on Twitter that they had sold out of tickets for both weekends of the annual event. A quick look on their website showed the only tickets available were a few of the pricier onsite camping passes.
The number of people rushing to buy tickets seems to have overwhelmed the servers, causing many people to be put on hold. Fans took to Twitter to vent their frustration.
Any problems, however, seemed to be short lived. Once fans were able to buy tickets, they posted celebratory notes on Twitter.
In previous years, Goldenvoice has held a ticket sale for local residents closer to when the festival was scheduled to begin, but there is no guarantee the festival promoter will do that again this year.
