Directors, actors talk Palm Springs, Film Fest on Twitter

This week’s Film Festival brought directors, actors, fans and even rock legends U2 to Palm Springs.

As one might expect, many of them took to Twitter to share photos and talk about the awards gala, movie screenings and the Coachella Valley.

Perhaps the most entertaining was Paul Duane, the Irish director of “Very Extremely Dangerous” and one of Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch. According to his tweets, he talked Sinatra with a bartender at Melvyn’s, posed for a photo with Marilyn and called the Joshua Tree Saloon the finest bar in the world.

Jonah Hill tweeted a picture from the Variety awards brunch, director Bruce LaBruce wrote about a restroom run-in with Colin Farrell and Mary Bono shared a photo of her with Bono (and The Edge).
