Donna Davis has been appointed to lead the district covering Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii and Nevada for the Small Business Administration.
At the end of December, Davis began her new role as Regional Administrator for Region IX. She oversees the SBA’s programs such as no-fee loans and access to capital for veterans and small business owners.
Davis has more than three decades of experience working with small businesses, corporations and public agencies. She previously served as president and CEO of DIR Group Inc., a business and advocacy consulting firm. Before that, she was CEO of the Arizona Small Business Association.
Other jobs have included executive stints at companies involved in domestic and global management and an international speakers’ bureau and the microcomputer industry. Earlier in her career, she was a park ranger at Grand Canyon National Park.
Davis graduated from Northern Arizona University and completed an executive program at Harvard University.
