Five things to know for Monday

Happy Monday! Here are five things to know for today:

Dinner and a show: Check out the American Jazz Institute Jazz Supper Club series featuring Kathy Kosins & Trio, dinner and show  at Vicky’s of Santa Fe in Indian Wells. The event benefits music scholarships in the Coachella Valley. Tickets are $75, and the show starts at 5:30 p.m.

Into the Wild: Jack Hanna’ “Into the Wild – Live!,” featuring animal friends, stories and footage is happening at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets range $15-$75.

Making music: Head up to the high desert for Ted Quinn’s open mic at Pappy and Harriet’s. If you’re there to perform, sign-up starts at 7 p.m.

Trivia night: Try your hand at trivia at the Ace Hotel. The free event, hosted by Bella da Ball, kicks off at 9 p.m. in the Amigo Room.

By the numbers: How much bond debt do the desert’s nine cities and sister redevelopment agencies have? $1.7 billion, according to a Desert Sun analysis.
