Clementine offers new ‘twist’ on dinner

Clementine Gourmet Marketplace and Cafe is one of those places you can’t judge by its cover. Located just off of the El Paseo shopping area, Clementine resides in a modest looking center. It doesn’t have water fountains or a one-of-a-kind exterior design, but once you step behind the doors, Clementine is hard to forget.

Owners Jennifer and Christophe Douheret began their joint desert career with a patisserie boulangerie. Since then the couple expanded their business to include a kitchen and offer various market items — what Clementine is now. And starting next week, Jennifer and Christophe will once again offer something else to diners.

Clementine will host “Tapas with a Twist” Wednesdays through Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The kitchen will roll out  a variety of small places from Spain, Italy, France and Morocco as well as a cart of antipasto dishes. To top things off, every Friday, Clementine will feature a special Spanish paella cooked in their display kitchen. Dinner and show? When will they stop?
